Thursday stick training is cancelled as the teachers will be having contact time and Mr Danker is at A division games. Please do your 2.4km run and give your timing to the respective girls.

Friday is Sports Carnival so there will be no training.
Since 20th April is the last day for all CCA, training will only resume after the exams. Meanwhile please practice hockey at your own time, the pitch is always available. Hi Ladies.

Congratulations on coming in 2nd in the SHF U18 games and winning $150 cash.
Ying ying and Felissa will be approaching you to see what you want to do with the prize money.
WIll be attaching the team photo shortly. Meanwhile, pls take note of the following information.

1. Please return both blue and yellow jerseys to me on Friday morning during assembly.
2. Please return all the balls and bibs to Weizhen by Friday as well.
3. Please return all the STAY and FIGHT shirts to me by this Friday if you want to exchange for a new one. (the ink smudges) - we will accept those that have been washed and also brand new ones (for re-ironing of the words). I will not be accepting any more shirts after Friday - no more returns/exchange after this deadline.
4. Secondary One orientation has been changed to next monday 2nd April.
5. Committee members please confirm all the games and food by this Friday.
6. Committee members please let me know what you would like to do for the school by this Friday as well.

I would appreciate if everyone could pass on the above information to all your team mates.
Do let the relaying of important information to each other be a Theresian Hockey Team culture so that we can move forth together as one dynamic team.

girls ! lam here. anyway, sorry i couldnt go down for your match okay ? anyway, i hope each and everyone of you played your best. and no matter what the scoreline was, each of you gave your 110% and fought till the very end. as long as you have a goal, there is no way that none of you all cannot achieve it. rmb everytime you are one goal down, that is the wake up call for you to work even harder. even if you cannot run anymore, you have to push yourself. because this is a team game. if one person decides to give up, the rest will follow suit.

therefore encouragement on and off the pitch is very important. even if a bad pass was made, encourage her with words like "its okay, get the next one, you can do it." instead of "omg, cant you pass better ?" or something like that. reserve players play an important part also because you girls are the 12th player. even though you are not playing on the field, the encouragement and concentration matters to the whole team.

currently, there are 3 more games. CCK and EVG should be games that you all should win. but thats where you guys get the goals and try working out different variations. crescent will be the game that all of you will prove what champs are made of okay ! qualifying for the next round will depend on how much effort you all put in mentally and physically before, during and even after the game.

ive said what ive wanted to say ! come on girls, lets all buck up and trash the other teams and show them who the champions really are. rmb to drive martha out of your head when you are playing ! forwards must keep running ! midfielders must keep thinking ! defenders must think that you are the great wall of stc and nobody will ever go past any one of you. i have been thinking of having a simple hockey t-shirt for this year.
i am fine with having a cotton t-shirt as long as the material is good, dont need dry-fit right?
i would like to have it as white with black words....simple, plain but nice :D

Sec 2s - great run i must say!!! will be recording your 2.4km timing every week. hope to see an improvement!!!! Fastest girl is Lola - under 15 mins. Lola is haunting me....she is EVERYWHERE on the court!!! hahahah :D

There isn't a need to do the run round the school for the B girls this Friday. Do your stretching and warm up..... i will be taking your 2.4km timing at the beginning of training. This will be a regular routine for the team - 2.4km timing every week.

Dear players,

I just received an email from SHF indicating that ONE of our Theresian players wore a pair of predominantly white pair of running shoes for the game vs SRC. Please avoid doing sofor future games as there will be a penalty of $100 if the rule is not adhered to.

Dear players,

Please know that the 6 a-side games on sunday will be a physically demanding tournament. Not only can you score fast, you can also lose really fast. In short, it will be a fast moving game - accuracy (passing, tackling, scoring) must be spot on (100%) and everyone will have to move and play as a team. That means, running up and down to give each other support. If you happen to miss possession of the ball, it is your responsibility to give chase, not hang your head between your drooping shoulders, ok? I look forward to seeing you enjoy your games and work together as a team with shouts of encouragement and support. Please spend time to think about how the one-on-one with the goalie should be executed. The double drags always work for me!!! :) Here's a quote for you :

Dear Theresians,

Welcome to the new year 2007. Please see the attached schedules for Jan. There should be more updates on the later part of the month once we have worked out the schedules. Mr Leslie Francis will be replacing Mr Tan Lin How as the teacher in charge of Hockey. Please do provide letters of absence if you are not able to attend the trainings. ALL Letters should be given to me personally in the morning during assembly - Mrs Nicole Tan. Please note that there will be a 6-a-side SHF U18 tournament on Sunday from 8-6pm at Delta. We will be informing you of the players involved in this tournament during the Friday training. Meanwhile, please hand in all the player registration forms to Christabel asap. Once again, if i don't receive the forms by Friday, i assume you are not keen to take part in the U18 SHF 11-a-side games.

Training on Friday will begin with the 3 rounds around the school compound like what we did during the holidays. This run should start by 2.30pm - Ying ying and Felissa - please look into this. Jennifer (secretary) - please look into recording the timings of all the players at the end of the run.

Hi Ladies,

A few announcements for you. Please take note.

1. The C division Hockey team will be playing against Northland Sec on 4th August at 3pm CCAB. It will be reflected in the August schedule which will be posted shortly.

2. In view of the tougher school teams we will be meeting, there is a greater need now for the C division players and Nicolette (GK) to practice penalty strokes/flicks during your own time - after school? In spite of your inter-class hockey games, I hope you can still keep your focus on the nationals and do the necessary preparations you need for the national schools games.

3. Results of the Nationals schools C division hockey tournament is posted below - pls see.

4. CCA photo-taking session on Monday - 31st July in the Hall/Audi 2-5pm
Xinni and Ying Ying please organise the upper and lower sec teams - what attire you would like to wear for the photo-taking session.

5. We will be watching the 4 Nations tournament as a team - Singapore women vs Malaysian women on 3rd August at 6pm Delta. Letters will be issued to your parents - Pls check with Mr Tan Lin How. You are strongly encouraged to watch the rest of the international games on your own - pls check the schedules.

SAJC is organising a visit SAJC day for students (sec 4) interested in applying to SAJC in DSA phase 2 - as well sec 3 students who may be keen to have a better idea of the school. It is now 9.50am on Wed morning 12th July.
There are 3 hockey balls found on the hockey pitch.
Some PE girls just removed them from the pitch and
threw them onto the track. I can see everything from
my homeroom.

I am very disappointed with the lack of responsibility
on the part of the hockey girls who didn't keep the balls
after the usage of the pitch. What kind of attitude are
you displaying?

From today onwards, if i were to see stray hockey balls lying
around the pitch after use, i will ban the usage of the pitch
for all hockey girls outside CCA time...until you know how to
be more responsible.

Two mice fell into a vessel of cream.
